How do I upgrade my plan?
Go to Account → Change Plan to view all available options and upgrade instantly. Upgrades apply immediately with prorated billing — you're only charged for the remaining days in your cycle.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Account → Manage Billing to cancel at any time. You retain full access until the end of your current billing period — nothing is cut off immediately.
What is a document analysis?
Upload a document filed by the other side — such as an affidavit, motion, or disclosure — and ClearStand analyzes it for weaknesses, procedural violations, and counter-arguments you can raise in your response.
Is my information private?
Yes. Your case information is never shared or used for any purpose other than generating your documents and analysis. ClearStand does not sell your data or use it to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Is ClearStand a law firm?
No. ClearStand is a legal document preparation and research tool. It does not provide legal advice and is not a substitute for licensed legal counsel. For complex matters, we recommend consulting a lawyer. Legal Aid Ontario may be available if you qualify: 1-800-668-8258.
I hit my chat or analysis limit. What do I do?
You have two options: upgrade your plan in Account settings for higher monthly limits, or purchase a one-time Analysis Pack for $29 — 3 analyses with no subscription required. Chat limits reset daily at midnight.
My payment failed. What happens to my access?
If a payment fails, you have a 3-day grace period before access is restricted. Stripe will automatically retry your card. You can update your payment method at any time through Account → Manage Billing.
Can I switch between Family Law and Criminal Defence?
If you're subscribed to one product and need access to the other, upgrade to a Bundle plan from your Account page. Bundle plans cover both products at a lower combined rate, and you'll be credited for unused days on your current plan.
